German, as a traditional strong power in printing, is still leading the world printing industry, particularly in printing equipment manufacturing. However, in recent years, Japanese printing equipment manufacturers are emerging as strong competitors, who are penetrating into every conceivable corner of the world, with their superb cost performance. Therefore whetherthey can access into and occupy the Chinese market or nothas become the common strategic goal of the overseas giants. Shanghai, a center city in the Yangtze River Delta, has been chosen as the best target for Chinese market entry for Japanese enterprises. The Japanese manufacturers have keen insights and clear ideas, and innovative and ambitious at the same time, posing a great threat and challenge for the German group, and trying to surpass the early comer.
In this All in Print China, Japanese printing equipment manufacturers made an ambitious presentation: Komori and Mitsubishi, both within the world top six in the printing industry, presented with 600 sq. meters and 500 sq. meters in the Printing Equipment Pavilion of All in Print China respectively. Let us take a look at the Hong Kong market. As the fourth largest printing center, Hong Kong has become a renowned presswork purchasing center, where many large companies like Disney, Microsoft, and Wal-Mart come to purchase high quality and full range printing products. On the other hand, Hong Kong and Mainland China are interdependent in the printing industry, and quite a number of large and medium sized HK printing manufacturers have relocated their production line inland: the ten well-known printing enterprises recently listed in the HK Stock Exchange have all established production bases in mainland China. This mode of “store in the front and workshop in the backyard” further facilitated the industrial exchange between Hong Kong and mainland, and accelerated the development of printing industry in both regions. The 2nd All in Print China will be another grand gathering for the two regions. Report says The Sodality for the Printers from Four Regions – Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao will be held during All in Print China.
